These release notes for OWL 11.3-owl6 provide an overview of the changes made to OWL on November 29, 2020.
Introduction
This is the twenty-third release of OWL, and the sixth based on the 11.3 version of Sakai.
This release contains fixes and improvements to Tests & Quizzes, the rich-text editor, Gradebook, and other parts of OWL. This version of OWL was released on November 29, 2020.
Changes and Improvements
- The rich-text editor (found throughout OWL) now embeds videos using the native HTML5 video element, rather than using the Flash Player.
Enable "Responsive width" and "Show controls" when embedding using the new HTML5 video panel - Improvements have been made to the assessment-taking views of Tests & Quizzes, including addressing visual issues, and improving messaging and navigation.
- Fixed some issues with Calculated Question types in Tests & Quizzes that use more than 26 variables and formulas.
- Fixed a reported issue in the Gradebook.
- Addressed issues in other parts of OWL.
