Release Notes for OWL 10.3-owl6
These release notes for OWL 10.3-owl6 provide an overview of the changes made and new features added to OWL on December 22, 2016.
Introduction
This is the seventeenth release of OWL, and the sixth based on the 10.3 version of Sakai.
This release contains the brand new User Activity feature in Statistics, the removal of the problematic Extended Matching question type from Tests & Quizzes, a fix for embedding videos in Lessons, and updates to the Turnitin integration in Assignments. This version of OWL was released on December 22, 2016.
Additions and Changes
- The brand new User Activity feature in Statistics provides instructors and site maintainers with a detailed view of a learner's historical activity in a site.
List of activity for a particular student - Embedding YouTube videos in Lessons has been fixed to resolve viewing issues for students.
- Updates have been made to the Turnitin integration in Assignments to improve user experience and improve support for less-common assignment features.
- User interface improvements have been made in some tools.
- Overall system security has been enhanced.
Removals
- The Extended Matching question type in Tests & Quizzes has been removed because of low usage and unreliable functionality.
